A Voyage of Flavour.
Saporito: An Italian word meaning tasty or flavourful.
The Saporito Trading Company started in 1894 as a small business that imported and traded flavours and spices from all over the world. For this gourmet pasta line, the noodles and sauces are infused with special ingredients from a specific country to give a unique and flavourful experience.
To get the look and feel of a long-established company that originated with over-seas trade, the logo and packaging needed to have an old, nautical feel. The glass jars are wrapped in rope; have a heavy cork; and have labels printed on canvas fabric for a more tactile experience. The labels, inspired by an old map, have latitude and longitude lines, rounded corners, and an old calligraphic typeface. The stamps on the front of the jar are representative of importation stamps, and the back label explains the flavor and why it is special to the area it came from.
